Customising the CRM to your own personal preferences

Introduction

There are a number of customisations you can set to “Personalise” the CRM to your own requirements. For example you can (and probably should) configure:

  • Your timezone
  • Your currency
  • Default calendar view
  • Digit grouping pattern
  • Decimal seperator
  • Your signature
  • and more.

Below is some further information on where to find the most common personalisation settings and what they do.

How to set your personal preferences

Virtually all your personal prefernce can be found under the “My preferences link” in the top right corner of your CRM.

Here’s an explanation of the more important / common settings:

  • To edit your preferences click the -> My Preferences link in the top right corner of your CRM
  • Next either click the -> Edit button to edit all fields OR Roll your mouse of the right had side of a field and click the -> Edit link that appears

Time zone:

We highly recommend you set your timezone correctly as this will effect calendar dates when synching with external calendars.

Date Format:

Choose from the following date formats:

  • dd-mm-yyyy
  • mm-dd-yyyy
  • yyyy-mm-dd

Default Calendar view:

Setting this option will select the default view you will see when opening the CRM calendar. you can choose from:

  • Today
  • This week
  • This month
  • This year

Currency:

Select your default currency symbol

Decimal separator:

Choose a separator for decimal places

Symbol placement:

Choose where you would like your currency symbol placed. you can choose from:

  • $1.0
  • 1.0$

Signature:

Enter your default signature here. This will be used in emails when you insert the $assigned_user_signature$ tag. the signture can be entered as plain text or as HTML.

Digit grouping Pattern:

Select the grouping pattern for numbers in the CRM. You can choose from the following options:

  • 123,456,789
  • 123456789
  • 123456,789
  • 12,34,56,789

Digit grouping separator:

Choose the symbol you would like to use when separating the number above.
